My Sister's Keeper

 Artist: Bernadette Little (Bernie)

Bernadette Little is from the DMV (District of Columbia; Maryland; Virginia) area and moved out to the PNW to work as an art director, designer, and artist.

When not working you can find her painting murals around the city, experimenting with photography, engulfed in music, and collaborating with other artists.

Her mural works mainly focus on explorations in color and portraiture. They celebrate the diversity and beauty of our world while alluding to the potential of a brighter future.

She believes vehemently in the transformative power of education, the arts, and the promotion of creative thinking in all fields.

Mother Goddess

 Artist: Catya Elise

I’ve been asked a few times for the meaning behind this mural, and my intention was to create a symbolic representation of sacred femininity and our connection to a “mother goddess.” I wanted to create a feeling of kindness, compassion, and nurturing, and connect with the earth and nature. The orchid is my nod to Georgia O’Keeffe
